Thanks to its temperate climate, which makes it a pleasant region to visit in all seasons, the Dordogne is the destination of choice for a holiday for two, with family or friends.
Our campsite in the Dordogne is ideally situated for exploring the many tourist sites of the Périgord Noir and the Dordogne.

Just a few kilometres from Le Pech Charmant, you will find a number of castles, gardens, medieval villages, caves, chasms and theme parks. And less than 20 km away is the famous city of Sarlat, the Périgord. Most of the major sites in the Dordogne are within 5 to 25 km of the campsite.

The Dordogne is a very wooded department (mainly oak and chestnut forests) and nature is lush because it is bordered by the Dordogne and the Vézère rivers and is crossed by numerous streams.

The Vézère with its magnificent valley lends itself perfectly to superb canoeing. From the river you can discover rocky peaks with castles, caves etc.  The Vézère river flows through Les Eyzies and is situated 2 km from the campsite. It flows into the Dordogne after a 14 km journey.

In this hilly environment, many hiking trails are marked out: to discover nature on horseback, with a donkey (to be hired at the campsite) or by bike. From the campsite, departure of the GR36, GR64 and GR6 and possibility to rent electric bikes in Les Eyzies, station on the town hall square.
