Who are we? Adventurers in the Dordogne
Originally from the Auvergne, we took over the Pech Charmant campsite in March 2021.
For both of us, this is a professional reconversion, since I have spent my entire career in the public service, in various communities, doing different jobs, and Guillaume is an architect by training and has created his own practice in Burgundy.
The vicissitudes of professional life have taken us from Clermont-Ferrand to Paris, to Nuits-St-Georges to Lyon…
In 2014, we decided to take a break and leave in a camper van with the children for a little “world tour” with 5 of us, from the Iberian Peninsula to South East Asia!
We saw a lot of campsites! We practised, explored and compared them, saying to ourselves that the best thing would be to have one of our own!
When we returned from our trip, we were ready for a change of life, eager to find a job that made sense, to do it with our family, in a natural and healthy environment.
The idea took hold and after many visits to campsites, we are now in our ideal campsite! Le Pech Charmant, immediately charmed us !

Situated in an exceptional location, both secluded and close to the village, nestled in a 12-hectare green setting, surrounded by a forest of oak and chestnut trees, where calm and serenity reign, we were quickly transported to the Dordogne, to the Périgord Noir, to Les Eyzies and the Pech Charmant campsite.
The stone building, the restaurant, the snack bar, the swimming pool, the unusual and atypical accommodation, complete this idyllic setting on a human scale.
So we didn’t hesitate, in the middle of COVID, to leave everything behind to take on this new challenge! Leaving Chiara to continue her studies in Lyon, the four of us left to school Athena in Périgueux and Hector in Les Eyzies.

Surrounded by a wonderful team of trustworthy and hard-working people, Fabian, Edgar, Guilhem, Marie-Lyne and all the other seasonal workers, through hard work and personal and collective investment, we have been awarded the 4th star in June 2022: what a great reward and what a precious recognition…
