LE PECH CHARMANT A SPONSORED CAMPSITE…

303 filmed in the 24

When we tell you that Le Pech Charmant is not a campsite like any other!
In a previous article entitled Le Périgord fait son cinéma (The Périgord makes its mark in cinema), devoted to the appeal of the Dordogne for the film industry, we discussed successful films with international appeal that were shot in the region.
Le Pech Charmant is no exception, having hosted the filming of a scene from the German road movie 303, directed by Hans Weingartner and selected for the Berlin Biennale, in 2018.
Don’t wait to watch this touching film about two students who take the time to let their love blossom and grow during a trip from Germany to Portugal in an old 303 van.
Did you recognise the scene shot at Le Pech Charmant campsite?

Artist in residence at Le Pech Charmant

Since June 2024, Le Pech Charmant campsite has been hosting artist, writer and researcher Aurélien MAUPLOT as part of a skills sponsorship programme. His work is on display from June 2025 to January 2026 at the National Museum of Prehistory in Les Eyzies.

Les Mondes Invisibles (The Invisible Worlds) is a research project dedicated to prehistory. The works question the transmission of images and their symbolism through time. They explore the vestiges of the past before arriving at the cave and the decorated grotto as a place of learning.

Camping le Pech Charmant’s support consists of providing a lodge cabin free of charge for the year to allow Aurélien to devote himself fully to his research work when he is travelling to Les Eyzies.
